For the ones that don’t know me that well, I sold a lot of products on eBay, Amazon, and Rakuten.com (formerly Buy.com). In the beginning, I had trouble finding products to sell and barely ever made a solid profit I could be proud of. It was nearly impossible. I was even scammed a few times and lost thousands of dollars.

Most of the time, I would find clearance items at local retail chains and try to resell them online. After all of the fees, I made little to no profit. I wanted more. Their customer support isn’t the best, but it’s good. They’ll point you in the right direction, but won’t do all the dirty work for you.

For example, I was interested in selling video games, so I contacted their support staff for some assistance. The staff member directed me to several suppliers and even gave me ideas on increasing my video game sales. Keep in mind that they could have told me to do this on my own as they give you all of the tools to do so. I thought it was a nice gesture that saved me a lot of time.

Pricing and fees

Salehoo offers two different services, a wholesale directory and an online store builder for ecommerce. Each service has its own membership fee:

  • Wholesale Directory – This directory features over 1.6 million products from 8,000 suppliers and costs $67/year.
  • Online Store Builder – You can use this to create an online store, but you won’t have access to the directory with this option. Plans range from $27/month to $97/month.

How do I cancel my SaleHoo account?

If their service isn’t for you or you simply can’t find products to sell, you can cancel your membership by calling or emailing their customer support team.

  • You can’t make a profit on every single product. Certain products are cheaper on Amazon.
  • If you have a lot of time on your hands, you can find suppliers on your own on Google for free.
Is SaleHoo worth the investment?

Finding legitimate products to sell online is difficult regardless of which route you decide to take. I’ve tried importing from China and never had much success. I’ve lost thousands of dollars.

SaleHoo isn’t free. However, their service eliminates a lot of the risk and helps you establish relationships with your suppliers.

Salehoo is definitely amongst the best when it comes to sourcing wholesale products for resale. With over one million products and eight thousand suppliers in the directory, you’ll be able to find what you’re looking for. You’ll find that the $67/year membership fee will quickly pay for itself.

It’s not a perfect solution and not everyone is going to benefit from their directory.

If you’re new to selling products, I’d recommend using a service like Salehoo as it helps you get started. If you have a lot of time on your hands and aren’t afraid of being scammed, than you might not need Salehoo.

    – Can I buy from drop shipper in SaleHoo and sell it in same drop shipper country location? I want to understand shipping logistics.

      Here are the answers to your questions:

      1) It doesn’t matter where you are from, you’ll be able to purchase products and have them drop shipped to your customers. However, some drop shippers will only want to work with specific countries. You’ll be able to find this information within the supplier description page.

      2) Charging a shipping fee will increase your overall profits, but it may also reduce your overall sale conversions. You’re better off increasing your overall product price to factor in any other costs than charging a shipping fee.

    If I am selling a product on eBay or Amazon and it sells…how can I be certain it is still available from the supplier on SaleHoo to purchase and drop ship? It concerns me that the product will be sold out and I am left with an angry eBay’er…

    1. Very good question Derek.

      Basically, each product/supplier will provide you with their inventory in stock. And if you see that the stock is getting low, I would recommend removing the product from your eBay store until the stock is back up.

I am new to this, and am looking to selling on eBay and Amazon, how do I buy from suppliers on salehoo and get it listed on eBay and Amazon without seeing the product,I have concerns about pictures for listing and advertising on both platforms,if eventually the item doesn’t sell on eBay, how do I get my items back,it’s like buying goods and not collecting,leaving it for the seller to sell for you.because I have not had positive reviews on eBay, so it might be hard getting customers to buy from me. and also how safe and real could this be.read all the explanation but need to ask more.
